BPA's Response to Haiti

Given the recent events and devastation brought upon Haiti, we cannot think of anything more important that we can do right now as an organization representing black philanthropy than to lend our voice, efforts, and money to our brothers and sisters in Haiti who are in such desperate need now and will be for the long term. Please consider making a gift to any of these charities that are on the ground providing assistance. The Washington Post has compiled an even more comprehensive list of charities to support. Finally, we urge you to think about what you can do to lead and challenge your organization to do their part in terms of contributing to the relief, recovery and rebuilding efforts.

When Samaritans Need Samaritans

September’s financial tsunami has flooded the globe in ways few had ever imagined. Many major corporations, small businesses and homeowners were good Samaritans when the economy was strong.
